zelda

I’ve never played the old Zelda games before. The only one I’ve played is Wind Waker. After playing that game, I just had to play more. I absolutely loved Wind Waker. So I decided to go way back to the original and start the whole series from the beginning. So I was going to buy an old original Nintendo System, but then I found out there was this 4 Games In 1 special collector’s edition that came with some Gamecube systems which includes the first two games in the Zelda series, and the fourth and fifth games in the series.

So I went on eBay and found it. I got outbid in five or six, but then finally won a bid for it. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive so I could finally play more Zelda. The first game is actually very hard, and I’ve been using an online walkthrough for most of it. There is just no way I could beat that game without cheating and using it. I don’t know how people managed to beat it without one, it’s crazy hard. It’s funny playing it, because it’s so very different from how games look today. It’s so unbelievably basic looking. Of course that’s just how it looks.

I think I’m almost finished the first game now, then it’s on to the second. I just have to figure out how I’m going to play the third and fourth games in the series. The third was a Super Nintendo release, and the fourth was for Gameboy. Maybe I’ll get a Super Nintendo! I am such a completist (is that even a word?), I always have to do things like this. I have to play the entire series, I can’t skip any. It’s like movies and books, or anything else similar. If I hear a new single that I like on the radio from a band that has prior albums, I’ll have to go listen to all of their other albums from the first one to the newest. It’s just the way I do things.
