April 3rd, 2008Aliens VS. Predator Requiem
I’m not quite sure if I liked this movie or disliked it. I liked that it was set on Earth. I liked the actors. I liked the effects. What I didn’t like was the predictability, the dark filming, and trying to distinguish between who’s the Predator’s and who’s the Aliens. It’s actually hard to tell the difference between the two in this movie. I also didn’t like that one of the actresses was made out to be like the new Ripley from the original Aliens.
The ending was a bit strange, and I have a feeling there will be a sequel for it, which is just ridiculous. I don’t know if I’ll bother watching it if there is another one, I would rather just see another Aliens sequel instead.
There was one really cute actor that was in this movie that was in The OC, his name is Johnny Lewis. He looks so much hotter in this movie than he did on that show though. I was very impressed! There’s even a shirtless scene, albeit short.
Would I rent this? Yes.
Would I buy it? No.

I’m not too sure if you know this already, but AVP-R was the sequel. But this doesn’t mean I don’t think there will be a third installment. I liked it, but I prefer the first one.
Actually the Aliens VS Predator movies are not sequels to the original Aliens movies. They are a part of the franchise but definitely not sequels. This movie was the sequel to the first Aliens VS Predator, that’s all.
if they were conected in any way, they’d likely be prequels, as the alien movies happen in the future
oh yeah.. no I know they are a separate movie sorta dealio.. but I just meant it is a sequel to the first AVP movie.. that’s all.
And yeah, if anything.. they would technically be prequels.. as it is our (humans’) first run-in with the alien species. Predator of course was first.
The AVP movies are based loosely on the comics of the alien and predator fight.. haha.
Comics?
