Funny GamesWhen I started watching this I was not 100% sure what to expect. I like watching movies like that, because the fun of watching a movie is not knowing what’s going to happen. I was expecting a family taken hostage by two crazy psychos, and probably one of them or all of them would survive, and the psychos would get caught and you’d have your happy or not-so-happy ending. Fortunately, or unfortunately, that was not how things went! I say this, because I’m not sure if I liked this movie or not.

At first I was annoyed at the two psycho guys who take the family hostage, because they’re just so stupid. Then I loved them just for being so insane.

What sucks is that the movie became so predictable about halfway through. I knew as soon as that other sailboat arrived, that once the two psychos were finished with this family, that they’d move on to the next, which would be the visitors in the sailboat. And that’s exactly what happened in the end. Lame! I also knew that when Ann left to get help, that they would catch her while walking on the road. That was so predictable!

I feel this movie had so much more potential, and could have really had more of an impact on the viewer, if it wasn’t so predictable, and had a plot twist or two.

Oh I also did not like how one of the psychos, whose name is Paul, would talk to the camera! He was asking the viewer what they thought, as if we could talk back to him. I really don’t like that done in movies, so that spoiled it totally.
